The Breastfeeding support group is a weekly drop-in support group located in the West End of Downtown. This program services clients from various parts of the Downtown Community including Point Douglas. This group is meant to provide  support to breast/chest feeding families. The group is facilitated by a Public Health Nurse.  Information is shared about  a variety of topics that are usually requested by parents in the group.  The topics are related to breast/chest feeding, parenting and healthy child development.

The target population is: breastfeeding or chest feeding parents with  infants under 1 years of age.  This group is open to anyone who needs support to initiate breastfeeding: pregnant parents are also welcomed.  The reason for this group is to support parents who are breast/chest feeding to continue and assist with any breast or chest feeding challenges.

All are welcome at Breastfeeding Buddies whether breast/chest feeding.   Please note we are unable to provide child care.
