Bookmates’ Play to Learn, Learn to Play is a 5 week parent-child program founded on the importance of play in guiding early years learning and healthy child development.
This is an interactive workshop – participants will explore the value of play and the philosophy behind child led play. You will also receive a
facilitator manual complete with all the information needed for running Play to Learn, Learn to Play in your community.
There is no cost to participate but you must commit to attending the full day. Spaces are limited.

- Explore why “risky play” is really “empowered play” and gain understanding of the benefits
- Compare hazards vs. risks
- Look at some of the types of risky/empowered play
- Consider how to incorporate risky/empowered play into our current programming.
